CHROMA CASA

D’Lab partners with The House Of Things on a bold, modern, and playful home collection, designed to brighten and uplift your spaces.

Delving into a mix of Mexican and Indian design languages, the collection is defined by an infusion of vibrant colors, rich textures, evocative sensations, refined volumes, and layered history. From playful furniture staples to iridescent serveware and vibrant home linen, the collection has something for everyone who loves a pop of color.

‘Chroma Casa’ is a creative fusion inspired by an imagined journey undertaken by Mexican architect Luis Ramiro Barragán to India. Conceived and conceptualized by D’Lab in collaboration with The House Of Things, this collection envisions how Barragán, captivated by the enchanting architecture of India during his fictional voyage, infused elements of its essence into his designs in Mexico.

Maria shares, “Chroma Casa delves into an unforeseen realm - Luis Barragán’s posthumous influence takes centre stage, inspiring the collection in its timeless compositions - a Corbusier-inspired voyage reimagined with colour. A palette packed with Pantones – royal blues, sunshine yellows, sizzling reds, and warm pinks – creates an artful vocabulary inspired by the cultural fusion of Mexico and India – flooding the brain with all the good chemicals. This collection for me is a melange of places, people, and things I’ve encountered on my travels to Mexico and India. It is the purest expression of my spirit.

Inspired by Maria’s love for gardens, the soulful pattern entrenched in the collection is like a breath of fresh air, a coming together of her favourite florals seen on travels to Mexico and India. Lush dahlias converge over the Indian bougainvillaea, while sprigs of red peonies bloom over indigenous marigold. Designed to inject a dose of freshness into your interiors, the pattern comes alive when juxtaposed with vibrant indigo home linen and refined materials.
